Kelly Hafner - Suttons Bay Store Manager
Kelly has worked off and on at Haystacks since 2003 and became a permanent member in 2007. She is well-known by many Haystacks women for her profound skill of putting unique outfits together. Her window displays are always the talk of the town.
Favorite Haystacks Item: "The Bias, it goes with anything and everything and I always wear it with the seam down the front."
Rebecca Knott - Traverse City Store Manager
Becca was originally from Traverse City and just moved back after living outside of Nashville, TN for the past 17 years. She started working at Haystacks in April 2011 and is now our Traverse City store manager. She has also been in charge of redoing store fixtures and helping with our newest Essex, CT location. Make sure to stop in and say hello when you are in Downtown TC.
Sarah migrated from the metro Detroit area in May of 2012. It was her goal to relocate to northwest Michigan where she felt she found the perfect balance between nature and culture. Sarah is a working artist and finds that her new location greatly inspires her work.
Favorite Haystacks Item: "...tie between textured top and bias skirt--they are both products that women of all shapes, sizes and ages feel great and look great in."
Chelsey Sawallich - Leland Sales Associate
Chelsey started working at Haystacks in July of 2012. She really enjoys working at Haystacks because it allows her to get creative and help customers feel confident with their purchases! She enjoys painting, photography, and going to the beach.
Favorite Haystacks Item: "The Bias Skirts--they're so versatile! They can be very fancy, or very casual. They're unique, and when you see someone wearing one, you know exactly where they got it!"
Cathy - Suttons Bay Sales Associate
Cathy joined our team in Fall 2012. She moved to the area about three years ago from Grand Rapids and has now fallen in love with the beautiful Leelanau County. In her sparetime she loves creating art whether it's bracelets or paintings, practicing yoga, and learning new things.
JoEllen Evans - Seamstress
JoEllen has been sewing for Haystacks for many years. She has become the elastic and lettuce edge trim expert. Our signature lettuce edge is carefully added to every garment using a special sewing machine that JoEllen has mastered over the many years she has worked for Haystacks.
Kathy Powell - Seamstress
Kathy also joined the Haystacks team many years ago. She started with us back when we had our Design Studio, which was then known as "The Loft" in Leland, MI. Since then, she has helped us make our move to our recent Design Studio location in Suttons Bay.
Kelly Florip - Online Orders / Customer Service
Kelly joined the team back in March of 2007. She started working in the Leland store and graduated to helping with more business projects such as customer service, online orders, and website design. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their three pets, Binks, Bogey and Lado.

Lizzi Lambert - Owner/Designer
Lizzi started the Haystacks brand about 10 years ago when she fell in love with a newspaper print fabric. She started the business by herself in Leland, MI. She rented a space to do her sewing as well as a shanty in Fishtown where she could sell her creations. Soon she decided to expand her business and opened store locations in Suttons Bay and Main Street Leland. Since then, she has opened a store location in Traverse City and Glen Arbor, MI. She is searching for the next ideal location for Haystacks - email us with ideas!
